Non Kin-State Working Group

The Non-Kin-State Working Group was founded by the FUEN in 2017 to give minorities without a kin-state the opportunity to discuss their specific concerns and challenges, to find solutions and to develop common strategies for the preservation of their small languages and cultures.

The Non Kin-State Working Group’s first ever official meeting took place in November 2017 in Rome, Italy. The working group aims to give minorities without a kin-state the opportunity to establish a fruitful dialogue and strengthen their connections. Further annual meetings took place 2018 in Berlin, Germany, 2019 in Constanta, Romania, 2020 online, 2021 in Dagebüll, Germany, 2022 in Velingrad, Bulgaria, 2023 in Altafulla, Spain. The annual meeting in 2024 takes place in Lübbenau/Spreewald, Germany.
